Air Manas is a Kyrgyz aircompany, headquartered in Bishkek. Its base airport is Manas International Airport. The airline operates as LLC Air Manas Airlines.
Founded in 2006, Air Manas began its operations with its first flight in December 2009. In June 2012, 49% of the company's shares were acquired by the Turkish low-cost airline Pegasus Airlines, while the remaining 51% were owned by private individuals from Kyrgyzstan. On March 22, 2013, the first flight to Istanbul was operated under the Pegasus Asia brand. In the fall of 2015, Air Manas rebranded itself as an independent airline.
The current General Director of the Airline is Talgat Shaarbekovich Nurbaev.
Due to restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic, flights were temporarily suspended from March 20, 2020.
On September 8, 2020, two AIRCRAFT LEASE AGREEMENTS were signed with GTLK MIDDLE EAST SPV THREE LIMITED for
two Airbus A220-300 aircraft with PW1521G engines.
Between September 2020 and April 2021, integration activities related to the Airbus A220-300 enter-to-service and changes to the airline's development strategy were carried out. Scheduled flights using the Airbus A220-300 aircraft commenced in May 2021. On July 22, 2021, the airline became a customer of the Airbus Flight Hour Services program. Due to following 08 April 2022 the imposition of restrictive measures (sanctions) against the leasing company JSC GTLK and its subsidiary GTLK MIDDLE EAST SPV THREE LIMITED, the operation of A220-300 aircraft was suspended effective May 25, 2022.
The aircompany is currently continuing its efforts to resume flight operations Airbus A220-300 aircraft and be removed from the EU blacklist.
